Cons

  • – 2.4 watts total, and volume is exactly where the reviews turn — 364 of 902 mentions negative. Enough for one person at a desk, short of it for anything past that. The Creative Pebble V3 is the nearer step up at 8W RMS for about $15 more; the Edifier G2000 puts out 16W RMS for roughly four times the money
  • – One channel going silent is a recurring pattern rather than an unlucky unit: reliability runs 564 negative out of 1,777 mentions, most of them describing a speaker that worked and then stopped on one side
  • – A single 3.5mm input and nothing else. No Bluetooth and no USB audio, so a phone joins only by unplugging the computer first
